What Do We Know About Bogg's Origin ?

We learn very little about Bogg during the course of the 20 episodes.

He was a pirate, which assumes he lived in the 1700s before being recruited by the Voyagers

We never know what country of origin he is from. Obviously from pre-founding of the United States in 1776, but was he from the American colonies ? If no, why the American accent ?

We learn nothing of his parents, whether he has a family...

The Trial of Phineas Bogg episode tells us of his schooling by the Voyagers, but that is about it

Another thing we know about Bogg, he likes to put it about, trying to sow his oats in every timeline he jumped into...

I would not be surprised if there had been little Boggs right through the history of the human race, I could imagine the human race evolving from Bogg and a Chimp at the beginning of time

I don't think that being a pirate means that he comes from one particular era. There have been pirates in every era for thousands of years up to the present.

The way Bogg looks and dresses is a better clue to his era.
