You want a PLOT HOLE . . .

I'm watching this again on A&E, and the first episode of Season III. Hooker has been divorced from Fran for 9 months and is living in a Hotel.

Wait a sec . . .

In Episode I, Season I, we learn Hooker and Fran divorced years ago. They were still close, but the marriage no longer existed. Now all of a sudden, he's divorced and they moved away. Was there a creative shift? Not that it made much difference, since the show was having plot holes all the time. Hooker is a drunk in the pilot, but Shatner had that panned down. He was most likely demoted, but likes to claim he wanted to wear blue again, and later that seemed to flip-flop in Seasons 3,4, and especially 5 -- where nobody had a clue if they were undercover, or street cops.

Still Hooker lives alone for two years, with the exception of visiting his kids, and then all of a sudden he's divorced. HE WAS ALREADY DIVORCED! And people complain about George Lucas.
