I've been wanting to watch this show from start to finish for years but have never been able to find it anywhere. Why is that? Other well-regarded shows like "Hill Street Blues" are available ... why not St. Elsewhere?
shareI'd love to see St Elsewhere again. It was one of the few dramas on network I never failed to watch each week when I was a teenager. You would think that with a cast that includes a young Denzel Washington and other actors who have continued getting steady work over the years (Ed Begley Jr., Mark Harmon, William Daniels, Howie Mandel, David Morse) the series would have more of a following. It deftly handled heavy drama and unexpected comedy and also had a unique visual appearance that made it stand out from its contemporaries. I wonder if it's as good as I remember.

Yes it was a great, one of the best medical shows, the original ER. Only season 1 was released on dvd which is ridiculous. Even in Britain and Ireland, the whole series is available on some streaming channel.
