Just watched an episode where Mrs Craig checked into the hospital for a physical. Watched other episodes where people were hospitalized for things treated as outpatients today.

Pretty sure even back then that regular checkups were outpatient procedures; there may have been something more to her situation for her to actually be hospitalized.

I didn't see the episode, but was Mrs. Craig rich? Sometimes wealthy people check in to a private room for things the hoi polloi would get done in an outpatient appointment, and to get pampered.
