The Reader's Digest Alamanc for 1984 lists the complete, top-to-bottom Nielsen ratings for the 1982-83 season. 'Square Pegs' finished in 58th place that year, according to Nielsen.
I'm a fan of the show, and I wish it had done better in the ratings. I thought fans of the show might like to know how it did in the Nielsen ratings. I just wish the news was better.
Square Peg's didn't fail, there was just sooo much happening in the early-mid 80's. Overwhelming, I must say... :)
shareI think the reason they cancelled it was that the ratings were not there, plus CBS at the time was doing well so they didn't need to give shows more time to develop.
