how about starting a petition to get it out on dvd, like my own below, for another cartoon? I'd love to see scrappy released. i even have a drawing done by an animator who worked on the show, at a 2004 convention. and he was so happy not to be asked to do spongebob over and over again!

Some of the shorts were on DVD a few years ago (most with the Richie Rich DVD series.) As for this series though, not likely because of the majority of the public's opinion of Scrappy.

Or, perhaps, a very loudly vocal minority faction of maniacal fanatics which in no way represents the DVD-buying, family-oriented, general "public's opinion of Scrappy".

^Actually, its kind of true. On any recent Scooby related material distributed by Warner they never make any mention whatsoever of Scrappy's involvement nor does he appear on any packaging material. Also, the Scooby Doo/Richie Rich Show dvd was supposed to have a second volume which is still yet to be released due to the poor sales of the first volume, Warner assumes that its because the episodes included in this set are Scrappy-era. It does suck as I'd like a full collection of the episodes I grew up with which mostly were from the Scrappy years. I have no problem with the guy. Puppy Power!

Well if we want to break it down, one day this will be on DVD, problem being that when i say one day, this could be many years away.

The official edict sent down from the WA facebook is that WA wants to release everything WB has in the HB (and extended) library because they sell well enough to warrant at least MOD dvds.

However WHV at this point is not yet willing to part with two properties, Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry. Releasing stuff to the WA doesn't stop WHV from releasing episodes on small sets. WHV has given up on future Flintstones and Jetsons DVDS but they rehashed both for smaller DVD sets to sell to brick-and-mortar stores so there we know we can still get MOD dvds from the Warner Archive no matter what WHV's plans are.

However the problem is because WHV has first dibs and WA can only work on sets when WHV tells them they for sure don't do them. While they don't have plans for Scooby season sets, they still "could" do them later so they aren't parting with them.

The good news is this year we saw WHV try again to start releasing the laff-a-lympics and they have announced returns to the Tiny Toons and Animaniacs lines. So there is hope they will go back and finish scooby sets.

The other alternative is WHV doesn't do it but they spend the next decade releasing all the HB and RS orphans they have to DVD and WHV has to realize, if people buy such lowbrow things as Rickety Rocket, Kwicky Koala and New Shmoo they damn sure will be enough people to pay for Scrappy-era Scooby. And they'll finally come out.

They will have to eventually come unless DVD's are made obsolete within the next ten years, which to be honest probably isn't going to happen.

As of right now WHV doesn't really have a way to let fans tell them what they want. WA does but they don't always know what WHV is planning so telling them is like telling the server your suggestions to the cook. You may get the word to them or you may just be preaching to the choir based on which representative you get and how much influence they have which could be none at all.

Keep hoping fellow Scooby fans, when this archive program started WHV had held other stuff like Smurfs, Flintstones, etc from WA at first but those walls came tumbling down with time. Let's keep our scooby snacks out hoping the Scooby and Tom and Jerry walls come down, because let's recall shows linked to them are also held up by this so keep hope for those Dynomutt, Richie Rich, Petey the Puppy, Grape Ape, Mumbly and Droopy fans too.

Trouble is, some of those shows were joint ventures with Ruby-Spears and have never been re-aired on television since the 1980's, thats where things get alittle tricky. Not all of the Ruby-Spears series were bought by Warner or they've yet to obtain the full rights to them.
