User comment incorrect??

I think the user comment is incorrect where the person says "And I think it was cool how they based a video game on the cartoon" wasn't the cartoon based on the video game, I have memories of playing Pac-Man before the TV show and knowing about Pac-Man before it, playing Pac-Man is what gave me interest when the show came out.
