Mary Frann

Love Dick, George, Kirk, Stephanie and Michael, Jim and Chester, and the rest. But I don't think Mary Frann brought much to the show comedy wise. She was OK, but added little to the humor and the character would have be better served with a good comedienne. I felt the same way about Leslie, but she was only on for one season.

She played the straight character most of the time, like Leslie did. Leslie had to go apparently since two straight characters didn't seem to work. Joanna (Mary Frann) came across as boring but occasionally they'd let her have fun, like the dream episode where she played a witch/slave driver to Stephanie's victim character, and the last episode where she dressed up like a beautiful Japanese woman.
