Who else doesn't like the new intro?
It's too short and doesn't capture that awe, excitement and adventurous spirit of nature like the previously longer one!

Intros for all TV shows have been slimmed down in recent years. Allows more time for episode content.
That applies to cable networks so they can cram more commercials in. I don't know about this show airing on BBC or other non-public channels outside America, but here this is shown strictly on PBS where that isn't a factor because it still ends with 5-10 mins to spare. The run-times also seem the same though I haven't observed that scientifically.
Longer version was many times better in conveying and setting the mood, pacing tone and atmosphere to prepare you to observe and immerse yourself into a nature show.
