Jack Germond

This show is not nearly as good since Jack Germond quit. I read somewhere that he had gotten tired of the show. It's a shame because he made John and the entire show funnier.

Agreed. Jack was the real reason to watch this show.

His double takes and glances back at McLaughlin were priceless. Jack well understood what a pompous ass McLaughlin is and never backed down in expressing it.

To think that the whiny, boorish, bully Blankley is sitting in the same seat is a travesty. To put such an intellectual piece of slime in Jack's seat is just plain wrong.

Then, there's the nazi Buchanan. "nuff said.

The show's but a shadow of itself frome Jack's days.

I agree, Jack was great. He was funny and I agreed with him on a few things. But Brother Patrick is not bad. He's an isolationist which I like.

Did Jack Germond quit the show? I was wondering what happened to him. Anyway though I liked Germond, he seemed kind of sickly at times as he would just cough, burp, phlem, snort and fart throughout the show. Seriously, I hope dude's ok.

Peace.

That's funny. I hope somewhere, somehow Jack Germond will read your post. I'm sure he would appreciate it.

Jack was the greatest. He might have been a little crude for some people but he said it like it was for the left.

Jack Germond is a nazi.

I miss Jack too, definitely one of my favorites. But now that Crossfire has been sacked, this is the last pundit show with any credibility whatsoever. So naturally I keep watching it. They should get James Carville to take his place now that CNN has labeled him a "Clinton Democrat" and not allowed to show his face on CNN (along with Paul Begala http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/horsesmouth/2008/01/cnn_says_no_mor.php). Both were Crossfire regulars. Maybe get Tom Braden too!

reply

Yeah, I liked Germond myself. He had a great sense of humor and was an excellent foil for J.M.. What always killed me was John's constant cracks about his weight (calling him "Jack Jumbo Germondo!", or [around Halloween] "Jack the Great Pumpkin"). The man had the patience of Job.

looks like paul glastris has been put on the germond diet to superficially take his place. the compost must give their writers a solid expense account for lunch/dinners.
