If I had to pick any TV parents for my own it would be them. They were very loving and fair with their kids and each other. I think the thing their kids complained about most was always catching them showing affection to one another around the house. The characters were great and the actors played them wonderfully. They tackled problems with understanding.
Okay, I'll stop gushing now. :)

I would like them too. They are very patient with their kids even when they have different views. I would love to wake up in that TV family.

I think I would go with Carl and Harriet Winslow from "Family Matters".

Red and Kitty Forman from "That '70s show" are the ones, who are most like my real parents though.
