Jane Seymour

Is there a man alive who would not be seduced by this vixen? Her performance here would have go down as one of the best portrayals of a seductress in movie history. Her 'dark' side just makes her all the more appealing.

Jane Seymour was absolutely at the height of her beauty and seductive appeal when this movie was made.

reply

Actually, it may sound strange, but I thought she got more attractive looking later on, in the Dr. Quinn era, for example.

I wouldn't call Jane Seymour a particularly gifted actress...but for some reason she's GREAT in this. I think half of it is that the part of Cathy is just a very well-conceived role.

And she certainly does look gorgeous.

I liked Jane Seymour in "Danielle Steel's Crossing" (didn't care for "Dr. Quinn" though), but Seymour was hopelessly miscast as Natalie Jastrow in "War and Remembrance" based on Herman Wouk's novel (they hired Jane Seymour to replace Ali MacGraw claiming that MacGraw was too old for the role in the continuation). However, Seymour as Natalie Jastrow had zero radiance, was rather plain and lacked the passion that MacGraw put into her Natalie Jastrow role.

Seymour was so convincing as the conniving murderess; you could see it in her eyes. She not only acted crazy, she looked crazy. One of the most frightening female characters ever on film! A well deserved Emmy for her.

Most of the time I find her acting rather bland, nothing exceptional, good enough for some parts. But this was surprisingly good. I couldn't stop watching.

I was afraid of Jane Seymour after this

Me too.

Not for me. Like others who have commented about her character and her great performance, she made such a believer out of me that I would have steered clear of her by a country mile.

Yes I'd say so
