I did not like Timothy Bottoms acting at all. To compare him to Raymond Massey is like comparing Orson Welles to ...to well... anybody else. These men could act. I have nothing against Timothy Bottoms but in this role he left me cold. I adore Soon Tek Oh. I always enjoy his performances.
And Jane Seymour, well what can anyone say about her. She was and still is THE BOMB!!!She gave an excellent performance.
I was hoping for the best, but disk one of this series was horrible. The acting was so bad. I'm skipping to disk three where the James Dead version picked up.
shareI just finished the series with disk three. Awful, awful, awful! The acting especially by the Bottoms was pathetic. If the pace had been any slower, it would have upset a snail. Gawd! What were the producers and the director thinking!
shareWell,it's 2016 and I'm watching it on youtube and all I can say is Timothy Bottoms is still the worst actor in this show. I enjoy Jane Seymour and all the others but give me a break. Every time he juts his chin out and opens his eyes, he overacts. Oh brother.
