Atrocities in war are committed by both sides but of course the winners write history. In our time we have the SJW's intent on re-writing history as well so the scene in this series where the Union soldiers are about to rape the black slave would never be shown for example. Because the thought of Union soldiers raping anyone, let alone the people they are meant to be saving would be just too much to handle.

We probably wouldn't see how bad the Union POW prison was either and the Southerners would be portrayed as beasts.

I enjoyed the series due to the balance of how both sides were shown. Neither side perfect or evil.
