I still remember this miniseries more for the music theme which although I haven't seen it in over 25 years still filters back through my synaptic web periodically. When I saw it was done by the same person who did Theme for Silverado I knew I had something. Great music is memorable. Gotta go find it somewhere...

The series as I recall it was fair at best. I've checked a few excerpts over at youtube and I can see why I didn't remember the story well.

I agree with the theme, although not as good as the main title for Gettysburg.

I would have to agree with the miniseries as well. A sweeping story of a family torn apart during the Civil War, but the acting was somewhat lacking, and over-the-top in some parts. Still, though, it was halfway decent, but not great.
