Zoot Suit Music!!

After I saw this film, I knew I needed to find the soundtrack for it. I searched everywhere (including this message board) for information. Before giving up I went back to the film to look at the credits. Under some of the song titles it says "Music and Spanish Lyrics by Lalo Guerrero." I entered the name into Wikipedia, and discovered that (while there is not an original soundtrack I can find) Lalo Guerrero reproduced many of the songs used in the film on a CD in the 90's!
So, if anyone out their it the world ever is dyeing to get their hands on some of the music from "Zoot Suit" hopefully this will save you some time. The name of Lalo Guerrero's CD is "Vamos A Bailar-Otra Vez! with Lalo Guerrero."

I got the soundtrack from it years ago, on an LP record.....probably back in the 80's. It was probably at a Tower Records. I'm surprised it's hard to find.

Does anyone know if Edward James Olmos did his own singing?

I was just watching the film and wondered the same thing. It doesn't quite sound like him.

Edit- According to Wikipedia, he did start his career in music and received a Tony Award for playing this same role on Broadway. This leads me to believe that he is doing his own singing.

Hello, I am a dance instructor in Maryland and previously owned this record as well. through rennovation I have lost the record and we are trying to perform the dance number again this year. I have searched amazon, MCA records, google all over the place! would you be willing to sell me your record? I would even be willing to borrow it just to have the "zoot suit" track off the vinyl and I would be willing to send it back.
