Predator vision and Wolfen vision?

The way the filmmakers did it here (especially distorted voices when heard in "wolfen vision") resembles a lot to the vision that The Predator has in his movies. Maybe the Thompson bros. or McTiernan got their inspiration from this?

That was the sole reason for me coming to this board. I was hoping to see a few other people having the same opinion. It would appear the people behind predator definately took the "predator vision" idea from Wolfen. It's too similar to be otherwise. The sound, the look, everything.

Well, the point of predator was that he had infrared heat vision because of his helmet...

while not technological, maybe the wolfen did too... But even if they didn't, that's what wolfen vision is shot in, basically.

Actually, no it is not. When the female Terrorist is being interviewed / interrogated, one of the men in the room points to a monitor with heat vision that resembles the "Predator vision" which shows the areas of her face that contains the most blood; Blushing could mean lying in other words. He even says "...the whole room is a lie detector." The wolf POV, looks like a solarised process was used. But the whip-crack sound was definitely stolen, as the effects technicians on Predator had a hard time trying to work out a way of completing their POV shots.

BTW
Van Der Veer, was one of the largest special effects companies during the 1960s and 1970s.

Yep!

Agreed. A serious nod by McTiernan whose first film 'Nomads' feels similar to this one.
