Ok, so I was just told about a killer lawnmower movie that was almost shot where I work back in the early '80s. Is this it? My work is Newark Country Club in Delaware and we were appearently in the top 3 for shooting locations, but idk if this is the movie or not. Any info would be much appreciated.
share"Wacko" was filmed in mid 1981 as "The Last Horror Show." It is a send-up of horror and sci-fi flicks (mostly "Prom Night," "Halloween" and "Alien") and is about The Lawnmower Killer, a serial killer who murders with a lawnmower, not a killer lawnmower. Like many of Greydon Clark's poor pictures, it was mainly or completely shot in Southern California - though I have no idea where else he might have been location scouting. It's impossible for me to tell you if this is or isn't based on what little you've given me. For all I know, you could be thinking of "Maximum Overdrive." The only thing I can tell you for sure is that of the half dozen horror spoofs that were released in the early '80s, this was the worst one by far.
