Michael Ironside Miscast for role in this film

Seriously, He usually plays professional bad guys(as opposed to random psychos).

I have to disagree. He was very convincing as a psycho in this one. Scared the piss out of me anyway. It was the first role that I ever saw him in.

He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

Gotta agree with the other posters...I thought his performance helped to carry this movie and without him it'd easily be a 3 or 4 out of 10 score. With him it manages to be a 5/10 for me. Most of the movie relies too heavily on the standard cliches and dumbfounded logic, but the relentless (and mostly silent) pursuit of his victims made up for the lack of suspense or thrills. Ironside played his role perfectly to a tee.

I agree with you, Burntout. This film has got very little going for it aside from Ironside's scenes, it's well shot, has okay acting, but it's incredibly boring when Ironside's face is not in the frame. He's just amazing in this.

The other movie I can think of that has the same problem is A Stranger is Watching - Rip Torn is just great as the psycho kidnapper, but apart from him there's nothing to watch.

He was effectively menacing and the best thing in an otherwise completely mediocre movie.

I recall this turd from when I was a kid. Ironside was the glue that held the mess together.
