My question concerns a specific part of the movie. From about 01:16:35 to 01:16:40 when Max von Sydow sits down to talk to another officer at the stadium, there seem to a black man dressed in a german officers uniform sitting right behind them. That, or he just tanned himself for six months straight. Can anyone else see this? I can't tell for sure.

I know it's debatable whether it was justified among theologians but the rest of the population including my relatives believed that it WAS because if we didn't we-the Americans and probably the rest of the Allied forces-were going to invade Japan herself.
This would have cost the lives of up to a million Americans and according to one estimate have extended the war for at least another ten years.

As a matter of fact, yes, they were. The US saved the world. They pretty much supplied the Allies in Europe and were the main force on the Western Front and pretty much beat the Japanese by themselves.

Yes I will admit most of the documentaries where done by English people, I dont know why I would even bother watching American documentaries about it as they only bother to get involved when we Brits had been fighting for 3 years already. But I have seen Russian documentaries about it, with actual Russian women who where in their villages when the German's came in and raped all their women and beat and killed a lot of them, and then them talking about how thankful they were when the English soldiers came and killed the Germans and fed them. it was all in Russian with subtitles, it was a great viewpoint to hear from these Russian women who had survived it all. I believe if they had also been raped by allied soldiers they wouldnt have spoke about them with such joy on their faces when they spoke of their rescue.
I wish you could have gave me links to anything you mentioned, documentaries that I can download or something, I read the link you posted, which just further goes to show they didnt admit black people, as I had previously stated.
