DVD?

Anyone know of any plans to release a dvd of this eerie little monster-in-the-basement film? It's very underrated and, although most of the acting is weak, is quite unsettling and disturbing. I haven't forgotten it in the 20-odd years since I first saw it. Any other fans?

I still have images of Junior playing with the vacuum in the basement stuck in my head and I haven't seen it since the early 80's....I would definitely buy this if it got a Region 1 DVD release.

I don't know what made me think of this weird movie, but it seems like it was just yesterday when I first saw. Even back then, I thought it was creepy and certainly stayed in my head all these years. I would love to see it again on TV or on DVD.

I don't think it was one of the greatest movies ever made either, but I first saw it when I was very small and yea, the image of Junior stuck in my head. Since then, I have tried to find it in the video store but no such luck.
Thanks.

There's more to horror films than just being scary.

My head hurts, my teeth itch, my feet stink, and I don't love Jesus.

I too would love to see a Region 1 DVD of this creepy, perverse and unjustly overlooked early 80's psycho horror sleeper. Anchor Bay, Blue Underground or Code Red are my three ideal choices for giving this film the treatment on DVD.

From Code Red:

Code Red has acquired the 1981 thriller THE UNSEEN, starring cult faves Barbara Bach, Sidney Lassick, Stephen Furst, Doug Barr and Karen Lamm. We will be doing a new 16x 9 master from the original IP, and special features to include an audio commentary with veteran producer Tony Unger and star Stephen Furst moderated by Lee Christian, photo gallery, and more extras TBA. This is a very twisted tale, and we hope it will find a new audience with this release!

I actually just spoke to the head of Code Red DVD through e-mail and he confirmed that this will be one of their near-future releases. They just finished a commentary with Stephen Furst and the director. Just a little FYI :-)

Actually it says on their blog it was with the producer, not the director.
