Who all dies and how? I know that both Karen and Vicki die, but I can't figure out which character is which by looking at websites with pics from the movies. Is Karen the one getting her head smashed down in the vent? And if so, is she the short haired one, or is she the long haired blonde woman?
shareOkay I've only seen the movie a couple of times, but the copy I have is really bad quality compared to the new one previously released, but I can tell you most of the details
CAUTION: SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
1. Vicki (The Short-haired girl) - Pulled through the vent and it gets knocked down as she's pulled through and it falls on her and breaks her neck.
2. Karen Fast (The Long-haired one) - She gets pulled repeatedly against the vent after Junior grabs her scarf.
3. Junior - Gets in a fight with Ernest, and I guess he finally can't take it anymore so he dies. (That scene in particular has bad quality)
4. Ernest - Shot by Virginia in anger of everything he's done to the girls as well as his abuse to Junior.

Hope that helps. It's a pretty decent movie considering it came out so long ago. But the new copy is being shipped through my Netflix tomorrow.

Well, the nail in the board driven through Junior's temple did the job. I found it to be one of the better scenes in the film. The effect is well executed, and we actually feel sorry for Junior here.
I have a better print of the film and it's pretty obvious in the final scene that Junior is not dead. He's breathing pretty heavily as Virginia is caressing his head. I don't think that's just bad acting or they would have done another take, it's that obvious.
shareAlso, there is a scene in the movie where Ernest reflects on murdering his father after his father found out about his raping of Virginia and tried to castrate Ernest. He keeps the father's corpse in the 'museum' that the family runs and miraculously no one have ever missed the father all of these years and the police were never notified! Also the knife Ernest used to murder his father is still embedded in the corpse which is obviously many years old! The 'special effects' artist from the film recalls on the DVD that this same 'corpse' was also used later in the film "Poltergeist".
