the final bolero scene: piece of art

the Bolero show: a wonderful cinema's piece of history

the singer arrives, dressed in black.
she takes off her fur; approaches the microphone and the camera starts moving around her: we see the great panorama in front of her; she turns around to exchange a glance with somebody and she smiles; as the camera continues moving in front of her the spotlight goes strong on her white skin, with all the orchestra on the background that keeps playing; now we're in front; she starts singing.

and her voice is appealingly wonderful.

camera breaks to a very wide shot, we see her from afar with the spotlights that descends on her vertically. she seems like a revelation. like some alien landing or, better, Christ's descent.

the camera start lowering; a close up on the face of the androginy dancer who goes up and down the frame; here we are on the audience now: some bored, some interested, some ravished; again on the plastic moves of the dancer and again back to the audience.

and here we are with a cinema's piece of history. or, at least, one of my personal piece of cinema's history. lovely.
in all these moves the camera was a litthe unsteady, giving us the impression of a "behind the scene" look, almost like a "friendly tour" to show us the show, almost like a first person experience.
in all these scene the angelic voice of the singer helps create a dreamy atmosphere who will most likely get the poetic souls.

wonderful.

ok, my little ranting has finished .
I hope someone enjoyed this part as much as I did.

sorry for my bad english and feel free to fix the article, I will edit this post as any of you will higlights my errors.

Yes, this is a great scene in a great film. One of the greatest films ever made and tragically not recognized by many. Increasingly difficult to find. When I first saw it, my mind was haunted by flashbacks of virtually every scene.
