What's the point of this movie?

Seriously? Nothing happens? 'Fess up now: Did you actually watch the movie or did you just read the TV Guide loglines?

What were you expecting, another version of M*A*S*H? That's another movie; it's been done. This explored the effects of this surgery on the patients and their futures - beyond this Threshold - and their surgeon's. Can you imagine the effects of not having your own heart; of not hearing and feeling your heart beating inside you for the rest of your life? Even premies got clocks in their neonate ICUs to provide the steady, comforting sounds to replace the one they were away from; maybe they've found a way to play the sound of their mother's heart beat for them, it simple enough. That was the story's point.
