HAVE I FOUND IT ? ( HOSEPIPE ) ?

Anyone out there who has scene this movie lately ? If this is the film I think it is, then I will have ended months of trying to find the title of it ( How annoying is it when all you have to go on is memories? no title, can't remember the year, actors/esses !)I literally tied every trick in the book to find the name of it on I M D B, and finally stumbled across a site called www.campblood.org .......... Now...! The big question...Does this film contain a scene with a hosepipe suddenly gaining a life of its own on the lawn of the house ? Thanks to anyone who puts my mind at rest, only saw this once around the early 80's time when i was 12 ish.

I think that also may have happened in the first Halloween movie (a hose coming to life- though from what i remember of that particular scene, a couple was kissing in the grass and a hose was near them and suddenly came to life and started spraying water on them, scaring them away). But i haven't seen this movie (This House Possessed) in so long, i'm not sure i could tell you accurately whether a hose was in the movie, or not, sorry.

You are right about This House Possessed being the scene of the water hose coming to life. It's in there.

But I don't get where you (second poster) say it was in Halloween. That was the movie about Michael Myers.

reply

Yeah, there was no scene in Halloween with a hose coming to life, lol!

But yes, strange enough, that's about the only scene I DO remember from "This House Possessed", you just refreshed part of my memory. It has been so long since I've seen this gem and I wish they'd bring it back.

reply

Yep, octavio, near the end of the film, as the house is trying to keep the girl from leaving, the brick fireplace begins to "breathe" (and then it explodes).

Can anybody help me? I am looking for a movie from the 80's. A woman move to a country house--it's haunted. She also goes back in time with the house and the woman transport back in time to the 20's or 30's where it was a speakeay and/or a house of ill repute. If anyone tries intervene on her behalf or if she tries to leave--the house retaliates. Is this the movie??

reply

No, lauraly, this isn't the film that you're thinking of. Your description also sounds vaguely like "The Two Worlds of Jennie Logan," but that's not it either....

reply

You are thinking of "The Nesting", I am sure......

reply

It is definetly The Nesting, and it is not available on DVD??!!

reply

The Nesting is actually NOT a tv movie (but it sure does feel like one). It was distributed by Warner Brothers and has an R rating.

reply

There is in fact a scene at the start of the film in which a young teenage couple sneak onto the property and commence to making out in the grass and a garden hose slithers snakelike across the grass and begins spraying them with water.
