I have been searching endlessly for the past couple of years now for the deleted scenes that were mentioned in a earlier thread by belleinboots.

The deleted scenes are of Jane being disrobed by the girl natives, a longer washing of Jane by natives scene and a longer painting of Jane by natives scene. Plus an alternative ending scene with Jane being tied to a pole by a lake side and has two native girls exploring her body.

It's a long shot but maybe somebody reading this thread will have any information regarding these missing scenes or have seen these very rare deleted footage. I've only found two people who have seen these scenes but they have to be out there somewhere.

Any information would be great.

This film was controversial because of sexual content utilized in a traditional story. Bo Derek is seen having a nipple suckled by an animal, a chimpanzee. There are also a number of scenes featuring explicit topless nudity of her. It was these reasons to why the Edgar Rice Burroughs Estate allegedly sued the production of this movie. The case was lost but another litigation took place from the estate in regards to the prevention of the film being released. This case was lost too. However, apparently the estate was successful in having removed three minutes of footage deleted from the released version.
