Did "Melissa" look more like a Sweet Thirty-six than a Sweet Sixteen? She looked pretty old to play the part of a 15 yr old girl soon to be sixteen.

He didn't say she doesn't look hot but yeah, she does look too old for the part. She looks no where near 16.

According to her bio, she was born in 1963, so would've been 18, when Sweet 16 was filmed, and 20, on release.

She did look older than 16, which she was by 2 or 3 years.

People looked naturally older in the 70's and 80's for some reason.

That's cause back then plastic surgery wasn't as popular as it is now.

No, it isn't that . It was the clothing, the hair. Everything about the way people acted. It just made both men and women look older.

Back then, teenage girls would "dress older" to try to look more sophisticated. These days 40 year olds try to look 16. <G>
