Hemmings cameo

I remember seeing this about five years ago when it was on British television.

It was pretty bad despite David Hemmings' claims in his autobiography 'Blow Up and Other Exaggerations'

When I saw it I was sure that Hemmings made an 'off-screen' cameo.

If I remember rightly it was a scene in a church where some work was taking place. There was a voice off camera giving instructions that sounded very much like David Hemmings (he had a very distinctive voice).

This wasn't a goof where the director's instructions could be heard on the soundtrack. It was deliberate and I'm pretty sure it was him.

I tried to have have it added on the trivia page but the IMDB wouldn't accept it :-(

Its on BBC1 tonight, I'll double-check it.

I'm watching it now - it's not bad! Haven't seen the scene in the church yet though. It's not exactly a scare-a-minute, but it's not supposed to be.

That scene with the woman in the darkroom was pretty weird!

I've just looked through the tape. There is a voice off-camera calling 'G45' and stuff like that.

Its when Cotten enters the church. I'm certain the voice belongs to Hemmings.
