I haven't seen any reviews of it, and a lot of sites aren't exactly trustworthy about screen ratios in their listings. "Gentlemen, is this a great moment or a small one? I'm afraid I don't know."
Unfortunately it appears to be 4:3 format just like the UK version.
"Unfortunately it appears to be 4:3 format just like the UK version."Have you actually watched it??? Can you positvly confirm that it is Full Screen? On the DVD it says 4:3 "LETTERBOX". Letterbox means Widescreen. So, the DVD might not be Anamorphomic, but it might actually be WIDESCREEN.Anyone actually watch it? I was going to buy it for $5 up at the city, but I didn't because it had a VERY Low IMDB Rating.----------------------------------FOR US READERS!!!There is a R1 DVD of The Survivor that IS In WIDESCREEN, Plus Some Special Features....http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/dvd.html?v_id=48006&list=1Not bad, if you can find it...
It's probably not worth watching unless you are a james herbert fan, and even then it's just to see his book adapted.Awfully made film"Flatly My Dear, I Don't Riverdance"
There is the french DVD, which is anamorphic widescreen. Unfortunately, it's the shorter version of the film (83 minutes, PAL system). Anyway, so is the british DVD. Alias, I'd like to know if there is any release with the full australian version.Check this database:http://dvdfr.com/dvd/f6705_le_survivant_d_un_monde_parallele.html

true. the film is a mess. only seen the French release. has some moments of creepy, but it's seems like half the film is missing and very little of it makes sensewas there any actual finger chopping? or was is all implied gore in reaction to the current Ozploitation films of the same time?
Thanks, Dave - I got back here eventually!"Security - release the badgers."
