Funny that John's cab scenes/apt. were shot in Louisville, Ky

All these years I thought it was shot in Manhattan or Chicago, it looked so urban. Who knew Louisville was such a heavy-looking city back in '81!

The basic training was shot at Fort Knox, so that area was the location for the film.

They call it Kentuckiana there.
