There's only one good reason to see this movie (spoiler here, too)
Frank Langella is even better looking in this than he was in Dracula, and that's saying a LOT because he was already as close to humanly perfect as possible. However, the movie itself is not spectacular. At the beginning, an unfortunate wretch is tied up between two horses which are set running, and he's ripped in half. You can see his top half bouncing along in the sand, and if memory serves, you can also hear his screams. There are far, far too many crunchy long dead bodies for my liking, and at the end, Frank Langella's character DIES, another huge minus. I suppose people who aren't easily nauseated and don't care about happy endings might like it, though.
