Wait a minute... who am I here?

Just watched it and Hooper tonight. The picture quality and sound are quite excellent, although Sharky's Machine on Laser Disc was still the best copy I ever saw. The opening song on Sharky's Machine is also mixed improperly, which greatly surprised me. There is a half second delay in the rear speakers during "Street Life." Fortunately it is less noticeable if you're not as close to the rear monitors, but still disappointing. Other than that, I thought Sharky looked fantastic and I certainly noticed detail in the picture that I missed previously. Same goes for Hooper, although I was frustrated that Hooper was only in its original mono soundtrack and several of the scenes from the TV broadcast were not included. Also, what's with no special features or commentary tracks? At least on Sharky they could have done something with Reynolds. Personally, I think this was his best film.

His best are DELIVERANCE, STARTING OVER and THE LONGEST YARD.

Although SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT and HOOPER are both a lot of fun.

SHARKY belongs somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Kind of a shame since it could have been a good movie.

It was a 'good' movie...it could have been a great movie.

The casting was stellar..the music and score were dynamite.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
