Crappiest Movie of all Time.....!!!!

Just goes to show that all the B list stars in the world can't save a stupid plot and sophomorically written script. Even the so called "stars" acting stunk. Wasn't clever and wasn't funny. Goes near the top of the list of movies that didn't need to be made.

reply

Rubbish! I loved it and a pal of mine, who hates films that are not straightforward, loved it too.

Either you truly "get it" or you don't. I guess you don't.

reply

I haven't seen the movie in about 10 years but from what I remember it was funny. One can appreciate it alone for all the great stars in the cast. Damn, plus you get to see Julie Andrews topless!

reply

Crappiest movie of ALL TIME!?!?!

You think "S.O.B." is THE worst feature film ever made? Bar NONE? Over the past century or so?

I guess you've only seen one or two other films in your life then.

B-List stars? How many Oscars have you won or been nominated for, again?

reply

I haven't seen this film in about 15 years, but from what I remember it was very funny. However, I can understand why some people don't like it. It is one of those films that you either get, or you don't. It helps if you know a lot about the inner-workings of Hollywood because that is what it is satirizing.

Some people just aren't in to a sophisticated adult comedy whose humor is derived from intelligent writing and not just sex jokes and party/bathroom humor. Hopefully someday the OP will be old enough to appreciate it.

reply

I REALLY question whether the OP will ever possess the intelligent maturity to comprehend satire.

reply

Probably not, but thankfully, the rest of us are able to get it and love it – and we know an A-list cast when we see it.

"Some people just aren't in to a sophisticated adult comedy whose humor is derived from intelligent writing and not just sex jokes and party/bathroom humor".

Oh I see - so all this broad slapstick and yelling those mostly banal, obvious jokes was the result of "intelligent writing". Interesting. As for the toilet humor and sex jokes, however, I distinctly seem to remember one or two... or rather many more... instances of such in SOB. Not that there's anything wrong with this kind of thing per se, but just as with all other kinds of jokes, for each one that worked, there were many that fell flat. And to top everything off, this Mulligan guy who played Felix, gave what must rank amongst the absolute worst comedic leading performances in film history - literally nothing this guy did or said was humorous in the slightest.

This movie was just plain BAD!

If it harms none, do what thou wilt.

reply

Pearls before swine, I'm sure, in the case of the originator of 'Crappiest Movie...' As a matter of fact, might I suggest the movie 'Clueless' is more up your alley? ROFLMAO

The best...and ONLY film out there so far that takes the TV, film and movie industry and satirizes it for what it is, and those in it. Total and completely S.O.B's all out for themselves and the almighty publicity and dollar -- no matter what the cost to others, as long as they themselves profit.

Those that don't get it, have bought into the BS. And that's fine of enough statement too.

That's all there is to say, IMHO.

Have to agree with OP.

That guy from Empty Nest is so OTT I almost had an epileptic seizure.

Then again I don't like B Edwards, including Pink Panther.

See Network; a sharper satire about a similar profession. Craps on this.
