Big cats, blood and flares everywhere.

I finally got to see it thanks to Turner Classic Underground after hearing so much about it for years. It clearly didn't know if it wanted to be a family nature movie or a "when animals attack" horror movie so it's both.
The viewer can clearly see it earned its reputation of a dangerous production.

Dangerous, yes. Horror? No. Farcical? Yes. The animals and the main male seemed to be the only ones with a clue - most of the humans didn't seem to have any idea what to do in the situation.
