Now playing on Video on Demand

I saw this movie when it was released and many times afterwards on video. At the time I was most impressed by Bisset's acting, however watching it now, it comes across as over the top, screwing up the scenery which was considered to be great acting in the eighties.

Bergen's comic moments are trully the gems of this film, for she's so damn funny in this movie.

Also, like many films from the eighties, the musical score seems almost identical to another film from that era, in this case Steel Magnolias and the editing choppy.

Any thoughts?

Any Thoughts? Yes. I would like to have known what age you were when you saw it for the first time and when you saw it years later. I watched this today on demand via comcast.. Im 43 and felt a lot more like you when you saw it years later. I thought there was to much predictability , ridiculous scenes and lots of bad acting. I agree with your thoughts entirely especially with the sound track. The 747 touchdown scene early in the movie set the mood for lots of cliches.Ok, ok, I had to finish the movie to see what happened... I got pulled in.. sue me. But one time is probably enough for me. Can you belive this was only 7 years before Murphy Brown? Wow did she progress as an actor. I guess at end of day way way way to much predictability and bad acting. I enjoyed your perspective.
