So I recently watched it and it listed Kathleen Kennedy as

something like "associate to Steven Spielberg". What does that mean? Was her job at the time to get him coffee and give him blowjobs on request? Is that what put her in a position now to ruin, not one, but two iconic franchises?

reply

If there was truth in billing, they should have gone with "Useless Twat."

reply

She got him coffee on set. Somehow that got her to where she is now and she’s destroying the legacy of the men who gave her a career. It’s fucking disgraceful.

reply

weird as hell......... she must have something on him.
no other way she ends up where she is now, the boss of lucas film etc etc

reply

KK is not blackmailing Spielberg. She kissed his and Lucas's asses for years, as well as "providing good ideas" in the past, and both guys thought she was cool. It's said that she would have never gotten that role of being head of Lucasfilm unless she was close friends with Spielberg, because he had the last word in that decision, even as a retired Hollywood royal.

However, it's very possible that she knows things about other bigwigs in Hollyweird that they wouldn't want leaked to the press, particularly a certain CEO of a formerly family-friendly corporation. There's a reason he has not broken the contract and fired her sorry ass, besides the fact that she has a "no-firing clause" in that same contract.

reply

right........ well, the future for SW have never been darker.
time for a change

reply

Nothing would please me more than to hear of someone forcing her to retire...permanently. The entire Star Wars fandom would celebrate as loudly as the entire galaxy did when they heard Palpatine was dead in ROTJ.

reply

I think she was basically a glorified secretary/sex toy.

reply

Sounds like fake news. There are no proven documented cases of women sleeping around in Hollywood to get to the top.

reply

Why not? It's happened in all other fields of industry.

reply

i was shocked as well!

just know something is not right here.

reply

She had a established career as a producer before Star Wars incels were even born.

reply

Ha ha. Incels. Good one. SIck burn.

Mind if I use that sometime?

reply

The so-called Argentinian is prone to use five-year-old cliches and think he/she/they is clever and relevant.

reply

If she had any real talents at all she would have created new franchises, not just ruining the existing ones.

reply

Waaaaah

reply

Why on earth does it bother you that Kathleen Kennedy is a complete joke? Is she your auntie or something? Or do you just kiss up to rich assholes for the hell of it?

reply

I'm a male feminist and I won't stand for misogyny.

reply

Too easy to call any criticism of women misogyny. She has made a train wreck of more than one established franchise - it's not misogyny to point that out.

reply

Twitter called, it wants its 2012 insult back.

reply

No one said incel even 5 years ago. Try again, sweetie

Woke isn't new either but did someone get called woke in 2008 like right wingers use it today?

reply

That I don't know.

reply

Brave pioneer breaking new ground for women in a male dominated space took up too much room in the credits.

reply

I would call the people she worked for before brave pioneers, but not her.

What franchises did she create?

reply

Maybe she didn't create them, but she enabled them to get to a new level.

reply

New level? Do you even believe that?

Maybe you can consider saturating market with huge number of low quality shows as "new level".

Can you even think of anything she did was not derivative?

She is a corporate drone, that is all she is.

reply

She's had several Billion grossing movies under her watch. The most powerful Jedi character in all of Star Wars history. The Last Jedi subverted expecations and gave us a Star Wars like no other.

reply

People watched those movies because they were part of the established franchises. In terms of star wars you can basically see the 3 movies did progressively worse with each one.

The first one did over 2 billion in box office, the last one did only half of that. The last jedi got universally bad reviews and was the reason the last 2 movies did so badly.

What used to be something exciting, people camping out just to see it first, now people watch it because it is marginally better than doing nothing.

I think that is also the reason why the recent Indy movie is even losing money, because people completely lost faith in her and the movies she produces.

I don't know how you could bring yourself to praise such obvious failures.

Why do you think she refrained from do any other shows? I think because even she knew she had no real talents.

reply

Well put.

Looking at her track record, she seems to be more like the kind of producer who makes thinks happening. Boring things like finances, fundings and other organisatorial stuff. She worked with many really creative people and thats all the stuff they don't want to care for. So she is good in all this management stuff and that's how everyone wants her to see. The movies she executive produced (creative influence) were mostly flawed and boring. But who cares, she just concentrate on other stuff. Then Lucas decides to retire and sell the company to Disney, with her handling all the boring stuff of his empire. But instead of her concentrating on the stuff she is good in, she also wants to have creative power. Shitshow starts.

No, as we all know she has been giving a major creative directive, which is "put a chick in it and make her gay".

Who knows what else she has been doing.

reply

Do you understand me? That was before she took over LucasFilm. I am confident that Lucas expected from her to do all the managing stuff and let the creatives at Disney do their thing. I doubt he expected her to put her own agenda into the movies. Before taking over LucasFilm, its hard to say from the open available information (without proper research at least) what she really contributed. But looking at her IMDB page, you can see movies she 99% had hardly any creative influence. Others you can at least argue that she pushed them to be done (as they totally not fitting in her husbands Vita).

reply

Long before her taking over she has been contributed creatively, and it was reported she kept pushing feminist ideas during meetings, and nobody took her seriously.

I don't know why she was not fired back then.

Also she was an assistant, not someone could be working on accounting or finance related matters, those requires qualified professionals, with corresponding certification and licenses. And she majored in telecommunications and film.

Management? I doubt a woman, better yet, a militant feminist at the time could gain that much respect working as a leader and could work well with men.

If you did not do the research please don't talk like you did.

reply

The answer is in the first line..

reply

Paraphrasing here but the best summation of all this is the clip of Spielberg talking about how shitty Kathleen was. In meetings she was supposed to take notes but sucked at it and, worse, she was always interrupting good ideas with bad ones. For example:

Spielberg: “Then the guy gets the girl!”

Kathleen: “What if the cat gets the girl?”

That single anecdote explains the entire failure of LucasFilm and Star Wars and now Indiana Jones. Dumb bitch is legit retarded and useless, lol!

Kathleen Kennedy was that loser girl in school who pestered the in-crowd and took pictures of them at keggers, but never drank herself so she was always a DD, and she spent all of her time gathering data on everybody.

Obviously she knows some shit, why else would she be allowed to flush ungodly amounts of money down the toilet.

reply

Yes, that is the question.

Who is she and why they can't get rid of her.

Looking back in past photos and she is glued to Spielberg's side. And despite stories to the contrary, he looks quite pleased to have her close. There is an interesting photo of her, Frank Marshall and Spielberg. Marshall is holding onto Kennedy very possessively. Spielberg is very intently speaking to Kennedy not Marshall. I think this photo was taken just before Kennedy married Marshall.

Around the late 70s/early 80s it was said that Spielberg was chasing Amy Irving obsessively (Chasing Amy?). Kennedy is that same type, dark haired and intense.

I wonder what happened on the set of Temple of Doom where Spielberg suddenly took up with Capshaw. Was it because Kennedy was a newly married woman?

There is more to this story, more to this kabuki theater.
