Did Balloq eat a fly?!?

Towards the end, we rewound the movie being aired on Sy-Fy. We saw a fly crawl on the actor mouth and into it! My husband says he ate it, I say it had to be added or on the camera when filming. He didn't even flinch when it "landed" on him and appeared to go in his mouth when he was talking.
