How come when Indy and Marion escape the well of souls through a clear stone wall, did no one before hand say...hello....we're digging and looking here for the ark, but what in the fucquington it that clear stone wall doing over there and NO ONE cared to knock it down and have a look thereby finding the back door to the well of souls? Always bugged me becoz it's glaringly obvious when they emerge from it! I call Bollocks on this part....major plot hole!

I've had my 15 minutes,now what!

Amen to that.

I posted the same question two or three (four?) years ago that ended up getting a lot or response (it ran two full pages) but hardly anybody seemed to understand the point. For some reason people just have trouble understanding this. I think the mistake they made in the movie was to build the big stone thing that was right there in full view of everybody. Apparently the Germans only would have excavated it if there had been a sign on it saying, "THIS WAY TO THE ARK!" Had I done it, I would have made it just a smooth wall, so that when Indy pushed the block out (which should have weighed a ton), it would be obvious to the audience that the wall of the hidden chamber wasn't visible. to the outside. Why they didn't do it this way I'll never know as it seems so obvious.
