Does anyone got or has seen the Region 1 DVD?
I heard from a source that's its in Widescreen (2:35.1), but I can't find any proof on that.
Someone help? I wanna see it, but I will only see it in Widescreen.
The Australian DVD is in Fullscreen, but I can't find the correct specs for the Region 1 DVD. Anyone help?
I can't speak for the region 1 release but the region 4 Australian release is actually 2.35:1 despite the fact that the DVD cover says it's 4:3 fullscreen. Trust me, it's not. I have a copy and it's most definitely widescreen. They must've screwed up when they printed the DVD covers.
It's a very nice transfer, too, the Aussie release.
The cheapo Region 1 DVD from 905 Entertainment is a fullscreen presentation struck from an obvious grainy VHS source print.

Yeah, it's the worst ever. I'm sorry I bought a R1 disc of this film.
shareThat's a bummer. I had the good fortune of seeing this film on the MGM channel, which broadcast it in a pristine, high-def format. The wilderness settings and the aerial photography looked frankly awesome. Made for quite a pleasant film watching experience.
shareSomone's got some clips on youtube that are widescreen and pristine. I tried asking the person who uploaded the clips where he got the disc from, but I haven't gotten any reply.
The movie itself is very entertaining. I wish I had a good copy of it in my collection.
