Bat Stabbing

Is it possible in real life than an actual bat can survive a bit longer from being stabbed? should've it been that once the bat gets stabbed, it dies imminently or?

Yes the bat would probably have died pretty quickly after being stabbed in real life, but in real life a bat wouldn't have bitten him on the hand and been able to prevent a man pulling it off his hand either.

Probably wouldn't have started spurting blood out of places it hadn't been stabbed either.
