Does anyone else find this movie to be extremely hard to watch because of the cheesy lines and awful stereotypes?
The first time I saw this film I thought "what the hell was that?" and then it just seemed that it was on all the time after that...last weekend it was on again....I refuse to watch it anymore because I dont want to have to poke my eyes out and rip my ears off!!

the cheesy lines and awful stereotypes are the reasons why I like this godawful movie so much.

It focuses more on Debbie because the author (Kathy Lette) based the character loosely on herself.

It's great because it's a 'one of a kind' look at the culture in that place, at that time. OK, so the acting is bad, and story predictable, but still an important documentation of that scene
