Effects goof

Well, goof isn't quite the right word, but

In that scene early on in which Joss is in the work camp and is being kicked and beaten by the guards, you can clearly see Belmondo is wearing a very thick padding under his shirt. It's so bulky I don't see how they thought the audience wouldn't notice that.
