Goddamn! This IS why I LOOOVE Europe!
So much variety and such varied and colourful people! And their films are ausgezeichnet! Hollywood films have unfortunately become too boring with the same old formula of the good guy beating 100 bad guys in a firefight and coming out on top. This movie actually needs some intelligence to watch and understand.
Like for example, why would Beaumont, a highly trained sniper who has been called the Best even by his teacher, would walk into a heavily guarded area openly without any stealth or body armour? It's because he's completely disillusioned with life and the people whom he thought were his friends betrayed him. They might as well have a put a bullet in him for all the good it did him!
Very insightful and wonderful! European cinema at it's finest! Next I'll go and see Il Clan De Siciliani, another European gem.
