So, Hellraiser....

....only without the Pandora's Box and Cenobites?? But with the most unbelievably ridiculous, manic over-the-top acting and behaviors and nonsensical dialogue that I've ever experienced. Seemed Cronenberg-esque as well. Except Cronenberg movies make a million times more sense than this.... this.... whatever the fuck it was LMAOOOO!! Was this supposed to be a horror comedy? I've never had to force myself to watch a movie to the end as much as I had to force myself to finish watching this one. I damn near stopped it at least 8 times. And the only two reasons that kept me watching were to see just how much more weird it was going to get and also because Sam Neill was a bit of eye candy back then. Especially the latter. This had to be one of the weirdest movies I've ever sat through. The editing was horrible as well.

Not sure where you'd get Hellraiser from.

It's a Żuławski film, though, so yeah, "weird" kinda goes without saying.

It seemed like the creature developed more and more with each subsequent killing. Not sure if that's the case or not though, hence the question marks. (ETA: also female killing men/creature she's in love with type of thing)

I looked up that director's filmography just now and am not familiar with any of his movies. Thanks for the heads-up about the weirdness factor about his stuff. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

the creature was growing into the Sam Neil doppleganger we see towards the end

"It seemed like the creature developed more and more with each subsequent killing." Correct

It was so ridiculous to me up until that point. When it FINALLY showed the creature and it became clear what was happening, I was very interested and then it was over! Stupid, disappointing movie.

Anna was killing those men to have that weird tentacle monster turn human.

Hellraiser was copying the same exact thing
