I'm an Aussie, and was just wondering if the movie was made in America. If not in America do you guys know what country it was made in? And if it did well at the box office?

and scroll down to the section of information below the Cast. It shows that the movie was filmed in "France / West Germany". If you follow the link for the director who is Ukranian by birth - he seems to live mainly in Poland or France. All the cast is non-American ( Sam Neill is from New Zealand).

Hey Aussie! The complete 123 minute cut of Possession is available in australia through Umbrella entertainment. Very hard to find in retail shops, I think it is to 'obscure' for them, but, like me, you can order it through Umbrella's website. Very nice pal transfer too!

Yes I read years ago that Sam was born in Ireland; but lives in New Zealand.
Us Aussies adopted him years ago lol, as he has done alot of Australian movies, and did an Australian soapie (The Sullivans) about 30 years ago.
