Different dubs?

Finally saw this movie again on DVD, and thoroughly enjoyed the memories of seeing it as a kid (in a theater then, no less...twice). Still fun.

But, some of the film's dialog seemed different to me than what I remember. For example, the one scene where Speed flushes the phony dollar bills down the toilet. I know I still remember him saying, "These days money really goes down the drain," which is even how the quotes section for this film's IMDB entry has it. But, the DVD I saw had that line as, "Hey, those are really going down the drain." Different enough to be noticeable (and not as funny).

There was also a scene where Speed was talking to his girlfriend and said she was going to have to marry him with his super powers, whether she liked it or not. I don't remember that bit of dialog either, as it seems to contradict the character's nice guy persona. (But that might be poor memory on my part, since I haven't seen it in so long).

I know this film was dubbed (and maybe re-dubbed). But now, I wonder if there are different dub versions of this film floating around. Anybody know, or at least notice different dialog takes from what they remember hearing before?

There is definitely a different audio track that was added on to the new dvd release. If you go to the end of the credits you can hear 2 tracks of the song fadeout out of sync. This would indicate a second audio track being dubbed over what was originally there, most likely for the whole film and was not the correct length, usually due to transfer differences.

Also some dialog was different from what I saw in the 80's. The absence of Speed's sound effect when he's spinning around when floating in his apartment. The money down the drain quote, and also the scene where Speed talks to the fish under water. In the dvd there is no audible conversation, but there used to be mumbled jargon.

I just watched a version I downloaded. I had not seen Superfuzz in probably 28 or 29 years but some parts seemed a little different from what I remember. They added some more theme music throughout the film from what I remember like when they were launching the rocket, I remember a lot more of the movie not having synthesizer music playing as much. The fish moves its mouth when he is talking to it, think he starts humming or whistling music when he is on the ceiling spinning around. I don't even remember Speed narrating in the beginning hat he went through or as much narrating but maybe I just forgot the narration/voice over when I used to watch it.
