New DVD available Feb '07!

Sounds like they've FINALLY bought this baby to North America. I musts admit, it certainly looks authentic, licenced, etc...

Here's a link from TLA, the Canadian distributor. The ONLY thing that makes me suspicious is the fact that Somerville House, a company with some rather dull (and older) Canadian co-production titles on their upcoming release list, would get the rights to a reasonably well-remembered cult item like this, AND deck it out with special features, including a deleted scene and TWO commentaries, one by the director, who's dead.

Nonetheless, despite the fact that the my perfect Italian import has been the jewel in my massive DVD collection for a year or more now, I'll probably give this new one a shot. At least it's got the original poster art.

But really, could you imagine what Blue Underground, Dark Sky or No Shame could have done with this!
