Very Nostalgic

It's funny, I remember this movie as a kid, I remember a scene with a crock or alligator? and the water, maybe a treasure? I don't really know it's hazy. But anyways, I always thought the movie was called superfudge. lol I've spent a long time looking for it, but did not know anything about it really. Just the hazy memories of my childhood. I couldn't remember what the real name was, I've asked family and they all seem to not remember ever seeing it. So needless to say it's been about 27 or 28 years since I've seen it & was unsuccessful in finding it. Then I was browsing around today and came across a farmiliar face on yahoo, it was Ernest Borgnine. Now I don't know who he is, but his face is unmistakable & instantly I remembered some of the scenes with him in them. So I made my way to wikipedia, found a movie called super fuzz in his bio, not super fudge. lol and what do you know, I finally have the information I was looking for all these years. I can't wait to go get this movie and relive some of my childhood memories. It's just funny how things work, all the years of not knowing are over. It may not seem like a big deal, but I'm sure everyone can relate to that feeling you get when you have something in your mind, but you can't recall it? I hate that feeling. This is my daily rant, time for a nap. lol

Just so you know, "Superfudge" is a book written by Judy Blume. If I remember right, it was the sequel to "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing." In case you were wondering. If not, free trivia.

I watched this tons of times on HBO as a kid. I just got done watching it again on DVD from Netflix (from Somerville House). I'm assuming that several different versions exist, as the soundtrack is totally different from what I recall, and the title was "Supersnooper". The main difference in the soundtrack that struck me was during the underwater rescue scene. In the version I used to watch, when Dave goes up to the freezer door, it used to be a wind instrument playing almost solo. On this version is jazzy, bassy score. Plus, when Dave talks to the fish in the old version, they spoke in garbled waterlogged noises, but their conversation in this one didn't have any audio. I know I have this on tape, recorded from HBO, somewhere, and will have to find it to compare the differences.
