Available on DVD.

I ordered this on DVD the day it became available (December 1, 2002).
I think this is one of the best Christian movies available. If you have read the book of Acts in the bible you know this movie is a good telling of it, of how Paul, an educated Jewish rabbi, converted to Christianity and spread the good news of Jesus to the world, and established the basis for most of the books/theology of the new testament. The movie is 3hrs, 14 min but contained on one DVD.

I do agree that the last 20 minutes were incorrect. There is not no. Nor has there ever been any evidence that Peter had even stepped foot in Rome proper. Astonishingly his tomb was discovered in Jerusalem in 1962. Which puts the kabash on any notion he was crucified in Rome on Vatican Hill. To this day the Vatican can not dispute the Israli claim.

I'm not so sure about that at all. Peter's tomb was found under St. Peter's Basillica in Rome and I understand there is good evidence for this being the real one. The so-called tomb in Jerusalem sounds like something I heard mentioned in that spurious "documentary" about Jesus' tomb being found, not very reliable. Even if it isn't specifically mentioned in the NT, there is ample historical evidence going back to the early Christians and Church fathers that Peter and Paul were both martyred in Rome. See this link for more info, http://www.catholic.com/library/Peter_Roman_Residency.asp

BTW, I enjoyed the movie and thought it was a very good and accurate portrayal, of course as all movies usually do, they dramatize and embellish certain details and events for dramatic effect.
