Seriously?

This has to be the only movie I have ever seen in which a woman is sexually assaulted and just dismisses it as being her own fault. I believe she even says something like she was "asking for it".

Revenge is a dish that best goes stale.

I don't think in the movie she was actually SEXUALLY assaulted. She was roughed up some because of her smart mouth...she didn't deserve that though, either.

Dammit Carol Sue, where is the vodka?!

Actually, she says something more to the effect that she doesn't know if she was asking for it. She was so drunk, she had little recollection of the events leading up to the assault. For all she knew, she pulled her panties down and shoved her genitals in the man's face before rebuffing him. Or perhaps (we know she didn't) but maybe she even told him they were going to have sex later. To her, that was "asking for it."

Of course I'll be hearing from all of the strange people who are pleased that we're at a point now that we need to confirm and re-confirm 100 times if the woman is willing to have sex and may even end up having to carry waivers in our wallets to be signed before the big moment, but I'm just stating the facts of the film.
